Students from the Center for Event Organising (Centro de Organización de Eventos) put on the event Sumá tu Mirada (Add to your Look) for the benefit of Foundation ph15. The main part of the evening was a photographic auction where around 15 images were sold. Furthermore, ph15 received a donation of a photographic printer to be used in the workshops. Invited by the American Embassy, Henry Horenstein paid a visit to the workshops in the Ciudad Oculta presenting his photographic work 'Animalia' (on display in Plaza San Martin during the whole month of November). Teachers and students gave talks and took part in photography outings with activities related to current environmental problems, as part of the work in conjunction with Karin Skill, a Swedish anthropologist. On June 27th, the board of directors from the Inter-American Foundation paid us a visit. We gave a presentation via projector, and the students showed their photos and discussed future projects with the board. The previous day, Cecilia, Juan, Nahuel, Eugenio, Miriam and Moira participated in a fair for the IAF’s donees, which was held in the residence of the United States Ambassador. During the fair, all of the projects brought to fruition by the organization in the region were displayed. Thank you very much for the visit! www.iaf.gov
Ph15 participated in the Colifata Solidaity project, which was conceived by members of the radio for the patients and ex-patients of Hospital Borda. We held workshops for pinhole photography and monstruocamaras during the month of May and on Saturday June 13th we had a live radio broadcast in the district of Conviven with assistance from residents of Ciudad Oculta. www.colifata.org

On May 9th, members of the Inter-American Foundation visited workshops in Ciudad Oculta, and attended an expression class. They were able to take photographs with the monstruocámaras cameras constructed by the students, and later ate lunch with the grantees and the teachers.
Eugenio Alfonso completed a frame-making workshop with the goal of becoming proficient in frame construction and sharing his knowledge with all of the members of Ph15.
In association with other artists and teachers, Eugenio and Cecilia designed an art and inclusion project, which used the tools provided by photography, video and literature to work with youth dealing with social marginality and exclusion. The project is called POMA (Proyecto Obra Mi Arte), and was selected by the Cultural Center of Parque Espana, out of 25 entries from all over Latin America. They took part in Estudio D.I.Y in the city of Rosario, where they shared their experiences with the designers of other projects. More info: www.ccpe.org.ar

On Thursday April 16th, teachers and students participated in “El futuro ya no es lo que era” (the future now is not what it was) with the organizations Crear Vale la Pena and Y No Fui. In the presentation, curated by Rodrigo Alonoso in the OSDE Foundation’s art space, videos of activities carried out by various foundations were shown. The public showed strong interest in the work of Ph15. Thank You to Rodrigo for the invitation.
On the 30th of April the exhibition Laberinto de Miradas –Colectivos Fotográficos Iberoamericanos, in which Ph15 participated, opened in the Palais de Glace. This exhibition had already been shown in San Pablo, and will contine visiting Latin American cities during the next two years. On the 30th of April, the second edition of the NGO Fair organized by the United States Embassy was completed. Ph15 participated with a stand, presenting its programs and future projects to other NGOs and businesses.

The students in Ciudad Oculta learned how to make “MonstruoCámaras,"/ "Monster Cameras." In the coming month, workshops will be held on other communities in order to populate other neighborhoods with these little monsters!

All of the students and teachers of ph15 visited the exhibition of photographer Manuel Álvarez Bravo in MALBA, and the exhibition of Abelardo Morell in the Museo Nacional de Bellas Artes (National Museum of Fine Arts).

In conjunction with the Cultural Institute of the Province of Buenos Aires, members of Ph15 carried out photography workshops in the the Batán Prison.
The workshop in the neighborhood of Carlos Gardel, carried out by Ariel in conjunction with CELS, was completed. An exhibition was held in the neighborhood, where the students coud share their work with families and friends.

From the 10th of December until the 1st of March 2009, the works of the students of ph15 will form part of the exhibition Laberinto de Miradas 3 (Labyrinth of Looks 3) from the Latin America Photographic Collective, taking place in the city of San Pablo, Brazil.

On the 17th of December “Stories through film of three practices of social transformation – ph15/ Patricios Unidos de Pie/The Chascomús Orchestra” was presented in the Borges Cultural Centre. The Argentinian Association of Business for Transport – AAETA – had the kindness to reward Foundation ph15 for it’s contribution to social, cultural and educational inclusion of boys, girls, adolescents and youth. We would like to thank the AAETA for giving us this recognition.

We received a visit from the visual artist María Bedoian at the workshops in Conviven. María had the generosity to show us and to commentate on her work, followed by an invitation for the students to visit her exhibition at The Pink House (the Buenos Aires Government building). Many thanks María!!

Finishing the activities of the Areas of Nutrition workshops, all the kids cooked together for the nutritionists using the Conviven facilities. It was an extremely pleasant working day for everyone, above all because at the end of it they were able to sample their own work.

Ph15 newborns keep arriving! On the 14th of December, Moira became a new mum! We give a big welcome to Clara and we are all looking forward to meeting her and seeing her mum!

A new ph15 exhibition opened at the Teatro Argentino (Argentine Theatre) in La Plata outside Buenos Aires. Many of the students travelled to La Plata and were able to attend the opening.

Pablo, Carlos, Eugenio, Juan, Nahuel, Natalia and Ariel gave a pinhole camera workshop for 20 kids from School N°109 in Morón. They relied on a collaboration with one of the teachers at the school, Melisa, and the results greatly surprised all the participants.

October was a busy month for ph15 involving a lot of travelling and many activities.
..
During the first weekend of October we led an inter-exchange programme between different groups supported by the IAF, our main sponsor. These included around 12 members of the Fundación Arlequín (The Harlequin Foundation) from Paraguay, 8 members of the Defensores del Chaco (Defenders of Chaco) and 4 from the Circo Social del Sur (The Southern Social Circus). For three days the students traded experiences and executed various group activities in the headquarters of the Defensores de Moreno, a cultural center similar to Centro Conviven in the Ciudad Oculta.. So many thanks to everyone for sharing with us your knowledge and talent. We hope to stay in touch, and to carry out more activities of this sort in the future.

The 7th of October saw the official opening of the show “ph15 in Barlioche” in the Fasta University of the city, as part of the 12th edition of the month of photography. Cecilia, Eugenio, Nahuel, Angel, Natalia, María and Juan travelled to Bariloche on the 17th October and gave pinhole camera workshops until the 22nd when they set out on their return. On October 8th the third bi-annual Argentinian Documentary Photography Exhibition began, in which ph15 participated. Pablo, Eugenio and Raquel officially inaugurated the show with a talk and of course, provided workshops for the kids of the community. During the week the ph15 crew had the opportunity to spend time with many prestigious Argentinian and foreign photographers, and received great feedback about ph15 and the work that’s produced. Three volunteers - Emma Hodson, Emma Griffiths and Nathan Hammer - collaborated with ph15 this month. While the two Emma’s drew up proposals and looked for possible sponsors and donors for ph15, Nathan collaborated in the design of some new flyers and circulars for ph15. On Monday the 20th the show at Archivo General de la Nacional was taken down. The girls from the University of Salvador gave us the donations they had received as well as all the positive comments about the exhibition. Many thanks to all the students and to Rodrigo Alonso for the experience. We very much hope that all the girls will receive the 10 that they deserve for their final mark.

On the 23rd of October, Pablo Altuve participated in the Y2Y Global Youth Conference organised by the World Bank in Washington. There he was given the opportunity to make a presentation about ph15 in front of almost 300 people, during which the audience enjoyed a projection of the work of the ph15 students while Pablo spoke about the Foundation. It was an amazing opportunity to meet different organisations from around the world who have similar objectives to ph15, as well as establishing contacts for possible future inter-exchange programmes. The Inter-American Foundation approved our application for an extension of funds to allow the beneficiaries of our workshops to initiate their own productive enterprises that relate to the visual arts. On Saturday the 16th, our students participated in an event called “Jóvenes por la diversidad” (Youth for Diversity) organized by INADI at the site of HACOAJ. They exhibited ph15 photographs and developed various activities related to the themes of youth and diversity.

Accompanied by Ambassador Wayne, we visited the exposition of Christopher Rauschenberg at the photo gallery located in the Teatro San Martín. Christopher gave us a personal tour of the exposition so that we could gain insight into the stories behind each photo and ask questions about his photographic style. Thank you very much!!

On Saturday the 10th, we took down the exposition that was hanging in Teatro Argentino de La Plata. This show will be moved between various centres of cultural in the Buenos Aires metropolitan area until December 2008. At each new exposition, ph15 students will give photography workshops to local kids.

On Thursday the 7th, Daniela, Moira y Miriam participated in the international conference “Espacio, tiempo e imagen” (Space, time and image) that was organized by the Asociación de Sociología Visual (Association of Visual Sociology) at the site of FLACSO. Daniela, Moira y Miriam also coordinated a table focused on “Imágenes de nuestro tiempo: otras miradas, nuevos sentidos” (Images of our time; other visions, new senses). On Saturday the 27th, members of the Fundación Arte Vivo and El Agora filmed two of our ph15 workshops and finished documenting our activities so that they could begin production of a documentary of our organization.

Photographer Santiago Porter visited us on Saturday the 20th and shared his work with our students. The class was very interesting for everybody, and the kids learned a ton about Argentine history and photojournalism. They were also able to share their own work. Thank you Santiago!!

The show “ph15 en el archivo” (ph15 in the National Archive) was debuted on Thursday the 18th, in the General Archive of the Nation. Ph15 students curated the exposition side-by-side with students who are studying to become curators in the school of Art Management that is directed by Rodrigo Alonso at the Universidad del Salvador.

Nahuel and Angel Alfonso traveled with Martín Maioli to Washington D.C. to participate in a conference organized by Making Cents. Ph15 was invited to participate by the Inter-American Foundation. Our representatives visited the IAF offices and presented our projects there. They also participated in a radio interview and were able to do some sightseeing throughout the city. Upon return to Beunos Aires, they shared their experiences with their peers, who were excited to hear about their travels in the United States. On Saturday the 5th, we completed our series of special workshops financed by the "Fundación Essen" (Essen Foundation) and aimed to document the spaces of nutrition in "Ciudad Oculta," or Hidden City, through pictures and to create a series of recipes with nutritional value to give to families. Professionals from the "Área de Seguridad Alimentaria" (Area of Nutritional Safety) of the city of Buenos Aires gave one of two workshops that day, which closed our special series.

On Saturday the 12th, we organized a group field trip to La Boca. The kids visited the museum Quinquela Martín and walked around the neighbourhood taking pictures.

Students from the United States arrived in Buenos Aires as part of the "Summer Abroad" program and participated in worshops focused on pinhole photography. Juan y Eugenio Alfonso taught this course, which was organized by TLE (www.tle.com.ar) and trained these 16 adolescents so that they could then teach other students attending the San Francisco 1101 school in the provincial city of Sante Fe. The experience, which lasted more than 15 days, was very enriching for all people involved. It culminated in a photography show that mixed the work of the Sante Fe students and the students from the Summer Abroad program.Congratulations to all the participants!!

Our female students from the Boulogne workshop were invited by the "Representación Especial de la Mujer en el Ambito Internacional de Cancillería" (Special Representatives for Women in the Internatonal Sphere of Foreign Office) to particpate in a photo contest entitled, "Cuando yo sea Grande" (When I grow up). This contest was organized by the Organization of American States and the Inter-American Commission of Women.

Ph15's exhibit in "Teatro Argentina de La Plata" (Argentine Theatre of La Plata) debuted on Saturday the 26th. Many of our students attended the event and spent the day in La Plata, visiting the parks and museums.

Our newest show opened on Friday, August 1st in the "Museo Provincial de Bellas Artes Rosa Galisteo de Rodríguez" (Provincial Museum of Fine Arts Rosa Galisteo de Rodríguez) in the city of Sante Fe. Pablo Altuve, Marcela Monteiro, Natalia Ferreyra, and Lucas Vidal traveled there to represent their peers on opening day and to give a workshop on pinhole photography at "Escuela 2068" (School 2068).

We finally received the money transfer for all the photo sales made at the Las Vegas exhibition at the beginning of the year. A lot of the students received money for their photos for the very first time. From the 23rd to the 27th, Miriam, María and Juan traveled to Abrapampa, Jujuy, to participate in a "donors exchange" organized by the of Interamerican Foundation. Hosted by the Warmi organization, donors from Argentina, Paraguay and Uruguay shared their initiatives during 3 days, in which some beneficiaries of these practices could also interact and exchange ideas.

On Monday the 21st, Pablo Altuve, Carlitos and Juan gave a lecture at the Architecture School of Buenos Aires University. More than 150 students from this university attended the lecture and shared photos and stories with Pablo and the kids. The students showed a lot of interest and collected donations for ph15. On Saturday the 19th, we organized a photographic field trip to the National Library with students of Belmont High School from Boston and Colegio de la Ciudad from Buenos Aires. Divided into groups the kids took color photographs with different format cameras. It was a great chance for them to interact with the visiting students and also with the photographers from other neighbourhoods (Ciudad Oculta, Lugano and Boulogne). We want to thank the students from Belmont and their teacher Ms. Adrianne Talamas for helping ph15 with the fundraising events they organized in the US.

On Friday the 11th, Thomas Shannon, Secretary of State for Western Hemisphere Affairs of the U.S., visited ph15 exhibition at the National Library with the U.S. Ambassador in Buenos Aires, Mr. Earl Anthony Wayne. Mr. Shannon took his time to appreciate each image and exchanged his thoughts and ideas with the ph15 photographers who could join him in this visit.

On Tuesday the 8th, we participated in the NGOs Fair organized by the U.S. Embassy. During that morning, Argentinean NGOs presented their projects to different companies and organizations that finance these kind of initiatives.

On Sunday the 6th, Ambassador Larry Palmer, president of the Interamerican Foundation, visited ph15. Our students received him at Conviven and invited him to take a walk in the neighborhood. Mr. Palmer was very interested in the kids’ photographs and personal stories and took with him a photograph autographed by all the students that he will hang at his office in Washington. Thanks a lot for your visit!!

On Thursday the 3rd, we opened the exhibition “ph15 en la Biblioteca Nacional” (ph15 at the National Library) at Juan L. Ortiz Gallery. There were a lot of visitors and the students were really proud, especially the ones who were showing their work for the first time in Buenos Aires. The teachers of ph15 want to congratulate the young students of Bajo Boulogne for a great first opening!!!

On Saturday the 29th, Daniela Lucena gave a very special class with the help of Eugenio, Morena, Raquel, Nahuel and Carlos. It was about the last militar dictatorship in Argentina. There was an intense debate between all the students, and we shared images of the artistic movement called “siluetazo”.
We also enjoyed Eugenio and Raquel´s slide projection with the editing and music they had been working on for the last month.

Also on the 29th, we visited Adriana Lestido´s retrospective photo exhibition and Gustavo Germano´s exhibition "Ausencias" (Absences) at CC Recoleta.

Miriam spent 3 days in Rio de Janeiro to give assistance to the Health Ministry in the project Parallel Lives. The project´s objective is to identify the health risks in various work environments through the use of visual arts.

On February the 12th, we did a video conference with students at University of Las Vegas, Nevada in the context of the ph15 exhibition at the Donna Beam Gallery. Ph15 students responded to questions asked by the University students and could see how their photographs were hanged in this prestigious gallery.

On February the 5th, ph15 students and faculty enjoyed Ozomatli´s concert at the residence of U.S. Ambassador Anthony Wayne. Marga Steinwasser asked for ph15 artists help in the design of her new website. The site is about Marga´s project called “Química de la memoria” (Memory´s chemistry). On December the 18th and 22nd, we organized an end of the year discussion with the students from the "Ciudad Oculta" and Boulogne workshops. We won´t see the students until the end of January when the new courses start, including new groups in other communities. Happy holidays to everyone!

On Saturday the 15th, we participated in the end of the year festival of Conviviven during the morning and in the festival of Centro Joven Creativo during the afternoon. In both events, ph15 photos were exhibited and shared with the kids’ families and friends. The streets were filled with music, dance, clowns, games, and art.

Eugenio, Morena & Carlitos traveled with the Ilumino team to San Juan province to take pictures of different comunities in the province. On November the 2nd, ph15 obtained an award for “Cultura y Democracia Participativa” (Culture and Participatory Democracy) at La Huella, in Cuartel V, Moreno. The Culture Commission of the Movement for the popular letter and the people from “El Culebrón Timbal” recognized ph15's work, in addition to the work of sixty other projects from the Capital and the Buenos Aires Province. Ariel & Moira received the award and enjoyed the music with the members and beneficiaries of different organizations.

Ph15 students and faculty judged a contest called “Imágenes para el cambio social” (Images for social change) that was organized by Idealistas. The results will be announced at Idealistas site (www.idealistas.org) between December the 3rd and the 7th.

We received a generous donation of photographic equipment from the United States Embassy in Buenos Aires. Thanks to this gesture, three new students will be able to learn digital photography and another ten will improve their technical abilities with professional cameras.

Carlos Barreto was selected to show his photos in Currículum Cero's contest, which was organized by the Ruth Benzacar Gallery (at 16 years old, he was the youngest person ever selected in this prestigious contest). On Saturday the 6th, we visited the exhibition of Robert Frank "Words" at the museum "Fernández Blanco". The youngsters were able to enjoy Frank´s work and discuss it with their partners and teachers. Once the visit was over, we organized a football match between students and teachers -- the score was pretty close. The girls organized a picnic and talked and took photos.

Pablo Danese participated in Be Boz, Be Art, Get Art on Saturday the 29th in Nun Gallery. He exhibited one of his photos in a collective show with other local artists. Congratulations Pablo!

On Saturday the 29th, Moira, Pablo, Raquel, Eugenio, Lucas and Carlos participated on the Photography Festival "FEDAF 2007" organized by the "Instituto Municipal de Arte Fotográfico y Técnicas Audiovisuales de Avellaneda" (Institute of Photographic Art and Audio visual Techniques of Avellaneda). Our students´ photos were exhibited along with the work of other groups. There was also a photo projection while the kids shared their experiences with participants and panelists.

The Art School of Junin, Xul Solar, invited ph15 to give a lecture for their students. Morena & Miriam were warmly welcomed by the authorities, teachers and students of the photography department of the school. The assistants enjoyed the experience and showed a lot of interest in the young photographers´ work.

Ariel Vicondoa & Víctor González travelled with the Ilumino team to work on a photo project that takes photos of different towns in Argentina. They spent a weekend in Punta Indio taking pictures and talking with the inhabitants of the town and had a wonderful time.

We are still working on the project sponsored by Fundación Essen that aims to create a register of places where people eat, cook and store their food in ¨Ciudad Oculta¨. Rocío, Verónica & Julieta, who work in the area of Nutrition Safety of the Buenos Aires City Government, joined the team and will give workshops for the kids to attend so they can learn how to improve their families´ nutritional habits.

Little Art Foundation is sponsouring a project with "Crear Vale la Pena" (To Create is worth the while) about "Shoes". The students of Bajo Boulogne took a lot of pictures with this theme as inspiration that will be shown in a local gallery in a couple of months.

On Saturday the 18th the students of "Ciudad Oculta" showed their photos in a Festival organized by Conviven, "La musica no se oculta" (The Music doesn't hide). Neighbours, friends and relatives enjoyed and discussed the kids´ photos with their authors while they enjoyed the music in the street.

Nanci Alfonso was the first ph15 student who exhibited her photos at "Be Boz, Be Art, Get Art" at Nun Gallery in Palermo. Her friends, relatives and teachers joined her in such an important event. Congratulations!

Ph15 participated with ten other groups of artists in Pecha Kucha Night Vol.6 on August 14th in Ciudad Cultural Konex. Five hundred visitors enjoyed twenty photos in twenty seconds, and the visitors could discuss what they saw with Carlos, Eugenio, and Matias, who represented their peers at the exhibition.

Ph15 was invited to the White House Conference on the Americas which gathered 150 representatives of different Latin-American NGOs and 100 organizations from the U.S. on July 9th in Washington D.C.

On July 19th and 20th we did a pinhole workshop at School 13 in Paternal. The participants enjoyed this new experience and proudly shared their photos with their classmates in the school backyard.

Fourteen high school students from the U.S. came to learn pinhole camera and darkroom techniques in order to give pinhole workshops in two rural schools in Santa Fe province. On the 22nd, they left for Santa Fe with Eugenio Alfonso, who was the darkroom and teacher coordinator.

The show "Ciudad Oculta desde Adentro" ("Inside the Hidden City") was opened on June 7th with great success. All the students were very excited to see their work and their peers hanging out in such a prestigious space. Friends and relatives joined the gathering and recognized themselves in the photographs.

Once again, we received a visit from the beneficiaries of the Robertson Scholarship from Duke University and the University of North Carolina. They brought photographs and donations to share with ph15 students. Thanks a lot!!
We visited the United States ambassador{s residence in Buenos Aires. The place is considered a historical monument because of its architecture value and because of the art pieces that are displayed inside. All ph15 students joined a tour with the ambassador and took more than 400 pictures. Thanks a lot Mr. Wayne for giving us the tour personally !!

Ph15 faculty were selected to be the judges in the photo contest, "Sal de tu Burbuja" (Get out of your Bubble) organized by "Water and Youth". The winner, selected between more than 200 kids between 10 and 18 years old, won a trip to Buenos Aires to participate in the International Conference that Water and Youth held in Buenos Aires. The Argentine photographer Gustavo Demaría Molinari generously invited two ph15 students (Angel and Matias) to assist his workshop on Documentary Authors. Thanks a lot, Gustavo!!

We started working in two new locations in alliance with "Crear Vale la Pena" (Creating is worth it). The new groups are formed by ten young photographers each from Boulogne and Beccar in the Buenos Aires Province. Welcome to ph15!!

Foundation Essen approved a proposal presented by ph15, aimed at making a photographic register of places were people eat (kitchens, dinning rooms, refrigerators, etc) in the students´ houses and places of work. With this material, dieticians and experts in the subject will develop a book with nutricious and cheap recipes and health advice.

We were visited by Catherine Angel, head of the Photography department at the University of Las Vegas. Besides sharing her work with the students, she made a workshop with them on mixed media techniques. The results were astonishing, and she is now working on a ph15 exhibition that will be presentedin her city in 2008. Thanks Catherine!
As every year, ph15 participated in the end of the year party organized by Conviven. Here we showed our annual production in the street. Family and friends of the kids could see and express their thoughts about the pictures, as well as enjoy a nice and playful day full of activities. www.conviven.org.ar
In Lujan, at the Cupula, ph15 inaugurated its annual exhibition. It included a special section with the pictures made at the gaucho encounters in the same city last September. All the kids were present and took advantage to continue photographing the city.
Miriam, Camila and Martin traveled to San Pablo to represent ph15 in the conference Visible Rights, Photography for and by Youth organized by the Cultural Agents from Harvard University. Our three students exhibited the work of the ph15 kids in the Central Hall in the SENAC. They also shared workshops and experiences with other proyects, such as Photoexchanges (Gana), Disparando Cameras para la Paz (Colombia), Fotokids (Guatemala), Olhos d´agua (Brasil), Territorios á margen (Brasil), Kids wirh Cameras(India) and Visual Griots (Mali).

We inaugurated the exhibition “Presence and Religious Diversity in the City of Buenos Aires” at the Centro Cultural Recoleta. The Adjunct Directorate of Cults from the Government of Buenos Aires asked our students to take pictures of different religious manifestations represented in the city.

Ph15 photos were exhibited during the launching of the supplemental Comunidad section in the "La Nacion" newspaper.
During the whole month of October, the "Clarin" website published a series of Thematical Photo Essays especially developed by the ph15 kids for the newspaper. We thank "Clarin" for this convocation.

We traveled with all the kids to Lujan at the invitation of the Secretary of Culture of this Locality to photograph the 62 Horse Peregrination.

We visited the Palais de Glace, where the kids had the opportunity to enjoy the "Salón Nacional de Fotografía" (the national show of photography) y del "Salón Nacional de Instalaciones" (the national show of installations).

We inagurated an exhibition in the Central hall of Canal 7 where we showed, for the first time, the works of the digital workshop next to new pictures of all the students.
"Viva Magazine" published an article about ph15.
The kids participated once more in the Author Book Fair organized by the Espacio Eclectico. In this anniversary edition, they showed the books having participated in early years. There was a particular interest in the book “ph5, Photos by kids of Ciudad Oculta”, that was also exhibited in this event.

Sergio Pérez y Raquel Fernández Conde, our Spanish volunteers, joined ph15 to develop digital photography workshops and literature workshops.
We were visited by Roy Dow, a friend of ph15 from Boston. Besides assisting the teachers in their class, he invited the students to a photographic trip to the zoo and the Rural Fair.

Ph15 along with students and teachers of the ORT School went to Villa Adela, Santa Fe, to organized photo workshops with kids of from that community over a period of three days. The Provincial school N. 6106, parented by the ORT, received us with open arms. Luciano, Miriam, Moira, Nanci, Nati, Israel and Carlitos trained students and teachers in pinhole photography and did various expression exercises. Thanks to all the community of Villa Adela for their warm reception and the whole ORT School team for allowing us to participate in this experience.

We visited the Robert Capa exhibition in the Centro Cultural Borges. This activity was coordinated by our volunteer Jessica Fain who received the collaboration of Norberto Salerno. The kids debated intensively over Capa’s work and then visited other interesting exhibitions at the Borges Center.

We received another visit from the students supported by the Robertson Scholarship from the University of North Carolina and Duke University. They brought donations and stories to share with ph15. They exchanged pictures and addresses to remain in contact. Some of them will continue working with the project as Coleen and Boris did last year, organizing a small ph15 exhibition at Duke University.

Once more we presented the ph15 book in the Fedro Bookstore. This time, the presentation was accompanied by an exhibition and enjoyed by lots of people who came to share it with the kids.
 
The students of the Belmont High School from the United States visited us once again. With the help of their teacher , Adrienne Atalamas, a friend of ph15, they organized fundraising events that brought in lots of donations. Thank you very much!!!!!

Martín traveled to Spain where the exhibition “Huellas del Silencio” (Trails of Silence) was inaugurated in the frame of Teatralia 2006. The Casa de America showed the ph15 pictures and held expression workshops that were developed with kids from the Madrid community. The experience was repeated in Alcala de Henares thanks to the support of our new Spanish volunteers Sergio Perez and Raquel Cortés Conde.

Saturday the 4th of February, Martín and Susy Parr visited a ph15 class. Martin talked with the students about his work, and he was bombarded with questions. They shared praises and gifts. Thanks Martin for taking a little time out of your vacation to visit us!!!!

On Saturday January 25th, we organized a trip to Parque Alberdi. Most of the kids took color pictures in new camera formats while the others reviewed the concepts given in the technique classes.

On December the 14th, the book “ph15: photos by kids of ciudad oculta” was presented in the Arte x Arte Gallery. This is the first book ph15 edited, and we feel very proud ofit. All the funds raised from the sales will permit the financing of the workshops throughout 2006.

On Saturday the 17th, like in previous years, the end of the year party was made in Conviven. We brought all the workshops out to the street for the event. There was a pelotero for the youngest visitor, traditional dances, invited musicians, and of course, a ph15 exhibition at the Conviven sidewalk. (www.conviven.org.ar)
On Wednesday the 28th, the exhibition “Prescence and Religious Diversity in the City of Buenos Aires” was inaugurated. The ph15 Foundation collaborated with the Adjunct Directorate of the Cults from the Government of the city of Buenos Aires to bring about this exhibit. We showed the work produced by the ph15 students during nine months, which included the register of sinagogues, churches, mezquitas, buddhist temples, as well as other confessions and celebrations in the city if Buenos Aires.

We started a Digital Photography Workshop!!! Charles (Chip) Rountree came from the United States with cameras and computers to teach students and teachers the secrets of digital photography. He will work with ph15 during a year and will leave the post to the regular teachers already trained. Soon we will post our first results on the web.

Ph15 was declared to be a "positive interest" by the Legislature of the City of Buenos Aires for the projects we have developed with local adolescents.
The pictures of Eugenio Alfonso were included in the stand of the Espacio Ecléctico in the “feria periférica” held in the Borges Cultural Center from November 30 to December 4.
